Description

"I'm not losing my war!
it's in my mind and I will spread my wings and soar,
and I will fly! and no I will never deny
what's in my heart what's in my life
will be just fine!
these mean thoughts and cheap thoughts they will not weaken me!
the mean thoughts and cheap thoughts, they will not weaken me,
and that's for sure :)"

-lyrics from The Rocket Summer's song, "mean thoughts and cheap shots."
have a listen, it's a wonderful song. :)

I tore up some more of that marriage book and used it as a surface. The things I found that I had underlined this time were about respect and kindness. I found it ironic that my ex read this book and must have paid no attention to those chapters of the book. in the very center underneath the flying box, there is a section about submission, and what it is not. It says, "a husband does NOT have the right to abuse his wife, physically, emotionally or verbally." Maybe this was one of the only things I agreed with in the whole book.

moreover, coming out of an emotionally abusive relationship, those mean thoughts and cheap shots can really stick with you. But I have learned that it's time to rise above all that. :) hence the influence of the song :)

thanks for looking.

Very nice. Just because your ex read the book, doesn't mean he took anything away from it. Some people are just like that. We just have to roll with the punches, so to speak.

May I ask why you used the book as a medium? I've noticed you use odd forms of medium. Don't get me wrong, I like it. Just wondering.

Also, have you thought of selling some of your work? If I had the cash, I'd buy some.
